About John Fagan
John Patrick "J.P." Fagan,50, Lancaster, Ohio, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Fairfield Medical Center. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. He was U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received a Bronze Star, was a member of the VFW Post 1380 and AMVETS 1985 and a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1968 and School Colors were Purple and Gold. He is survived by his mother, Mary "Ginny" Fagan of Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, Dick (Ada) Wade of Lancaster, Ohio, Bill (Jeannie) Fagan of Lancaster, Ohio and Tom "Frankie" (Loretta) Fagan of Lancaster], Ohio; sisters, Julie Fagan of Lancaaster, Ohio, Barb Swartz (Bruce Grant) of Lancaster, Ohio, Karen (Ron) Thurkettle of Lancaster, Ohio and Mary (Mike) Barney of Lancaster, Ohio; and aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul "Dick' Fagan. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster, Ohio with Father Ronald L. Arter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Military honors wil be conducted by the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
