About Jay Cabe
age 33 of Chesterton, IN passed away unexpectedly at home on April 17th, 2015 as a result of health care issues he endured following a motorcycle accident in 2009. He was born October 30th, 1981 in Valparaiso, IN to Donald and Judy Cabe. Jay is survived by his parents, Donald Cabe of Westville and Judy Cabe of Chesterton; grandparents, Steele and Betty Vest of Elwood, IN; nieces, McKenzie Cabe and Sydnee Cabe of Valparaiso; his best friend and dog, Wrigley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jay was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Cabe. Jay was a lifelong area resident and a member of CrossPointe Christian Church of Valparaiso, IN. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Construction Technology and started his own business, Cabe’s Concrete. Jay was adventurous and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved snowmobiling, fishing and motorcycles
