Death Certificate Jay Sears Abbott Father: Charles Abbott, Ohio Mother: Mary Jane Price, Iowa Wife: HIlda Abbott Psychiatric Technician California State Hospital burial Cherokee Memorial Park July 15, 1963 LODI, July 12--Services for Jay S. Abbott, 68, of 340 Poplar, former psychiatric technician at Stockton State Hospital, will be held Monday. Burial in Cherokee Memorial Park. Mr. Abbott, who had lived here since 1907, died Wednesday in a local hospital after a long illness. Surviving are his wife, Hilda; a stepson, Gerald Sepaugh of Lodi; his daughters, Mrs. Barbara Evick of Stockton; Mrs. Dorothy Bates of Reno; Mrs. Etta Jean Sheridan of Santa Margarita; Mrs. Anita Maree Swann of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Betty Jo Stone of Placerville, and 10 grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Alvin of Stockton and Carl of Omaha, Neb., and his sisters, Mrs. Olive Weber of Lodi, and Mrs. Ruby Sheldon and Mrs. Maree Clark of Modesto. Stockton Daily Evening Record Jul 12, 1963 Funeral services for Jay S. Abbott will be held Monday, July 15 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Lodi Funeral Home. Elder J. B. Church of the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. Lodi News-Sentinel July 13, 1963
