About Janet Phillips
Janet L. Phillips, 83, of Morton, passed away July 14, 2022, at Hopedale Nursing Home in Hopedale, Ill. She was born in Springfield, Ill., to Ben and Bernice (Bee) Spence on August 2, 1938. She married Jack Phillips on December 21, 1973, in Morton. She is survived by her husband, Jack of Morton; her children, Steven (Mary Lou) Flowers of Springfield, Ill., Dana Flowers of The Villages, Fla., Russell (Cindy) Flowers of The Villages, Fla.; and two sisters, Joyce O'Neill of Clinton, Ill. and Ruth (Monte) Jones of Chatham, Ill. Janet was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Joe Phillips and Kirk Allen Phillips; and one brother, Gary Spence. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial of cremated remains will be at Hirstein Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home.
