About Jan Abbott
Wayne County Outlook Published on December 11, 2018 Jan Louise Ferguson Abbott was born in Frankfort, Ind., on January 2, 1956 the daughter of the late William Herbert and Mary Ferguson. She passed away December 4, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center reaching an age of 62 years. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bruce Abbott; and children Amy, Billy and Ben Abbott. Also surviving are two grandchildren Robert Stringer and Elizabeth Abbott; and siblings Peggy Ferguson and Patsy Best. Her sister Lora Dennis precedes her in death. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Big Valley Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Burke officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
