About James Cabatan
James “Jimmy” Moreno Cabatan Sr., 46 of Santa Maria, California passed away on October 20, 2017. James was born in Santa Maria, California on June 29, 1971. James attended Oakley Elementary, El Camino Junior High and graduated from El Puente High School. James played baseball at Westside Little League as a young boy. He also spent most of his childhood at the Boy’s Club. During Junior High he was recognized as “Disco Duck “for his break dancing skills. James was an avid Dodger, Raider and Lakers Fan. James hobbies were drawing, being a part-time barber, working on his car, going to car shows and BBQing Santa Maria Style for friends, family, and the community. Aside from his hobbies he loved spending time with his grandchildren. James previous employment include Pictsweet Co., Agro-Jal Cooling and Frontier Cooling. James was survived by his High School Sweetheart wife Marie C. Zamudio and their four children Adrien, James Jr, Christina, Nicole and his two grandchildren Owen and Avery Cabatan. He is also survived by his mother Natividad Moreno Cabatan-Barcena, his brothers Efren Moreno(Aurora), Julio Cabatan(Margret), Mario Cabatan(Dolores) of Santa Maria and his sister Margie Soria(Gustavo) of Bakersfield CA and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. James was preceded in death by his father Julio Pedro Cabatan. Visitation and Viewing will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary from 4:30-7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday October 26, 2017 at 10AM at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow at the VFW.
