About James Bruce
BRUCE, James S. Clinton Daily Democrat James S. Bruce, 96, Osceola, died Wednesday, August 21, 1991, at the hospital there. He was a lifelong Osceola resident. Mr. Bruce worked at the St. Clair County State Bank in Osceola before he retired. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Doretha Bruce of the home; a son, Sonny Bruce; a daughter, Louise Reed, and a sister, Nettie Taylor, all of Kansas City; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be Sunday at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola; burial in the Osceola Cemetery.
