About J Gosselin
J. Raymond Gosselin, 92, of Jewett City, beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Bernier) Gosselin entered into his eternal reward on August 16, 2017. He was born January 23, 1925 in Holyoke, MA a son of the late Albenie and Zelie (Allain) Gosselin and had resided in Plainfield for most of his life. Mr. Gosselin was employed by the former Pervel Industries for 65 years. He was a member of 3 local chorus groups, the Danielson Lodge of Elks and a former member of the Plainfield Fire Dept. He leaves 2 sons Raymond Gosselin of Moosup and Michael Gosselin of Plainfield; a daughter Donna Gosselin of Middletown; a son in law Alfred Gauthier of Plainfield; a brother Roger Gosselin of Norwich; 2 grandchildren Robert Gauthier and Amy Gauthier; 2 great grandchildren R.J. Gauthier and Kennedi Crutchfield; a sister in law Loraine Bell, a special friend Jenette Haskell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Joann Gauthier, a great granddaughter Adelyn Gauthier, 4 brothers Ernest, Herve, Louis and Edmond Gosselin, 2 sisters Lydia Lang and Rita Cormier. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday (8-22-17) at 11:00AM at St. John the Apostle Church, Plainfield. Private burial in St. John Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Colonial Health & Rehab Recreation Fund, 16 Winsor Ave. Plainfield, Ct. 06374
