Irma Labbe

WATERTOWN - Mrs. Irma (Charest) Labbe, 91, of Watertown, died Tues., January 28, 2020, in the VITAS Unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the widow of Fernand "Dedou" Labbe, to whom she was married for 67 years. Mrs. Labbe was born March 7, 1928, in Van Buren, Maine, daughter of the late Philias and Eva (Ouellette) Charest. A longtime resident of Watertown, she worked at Heminway & Bartlett Mfg. Co., until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and enjoyed spending time at the Watertown/Oakville Senior Center. She leaves her five children, Carol Perrotti and her husband Charles of Hamden, Ronald Labbe and his wife Joanne of Oakville, Debra Adamo of Merritt Island, Fla., Keith Labbe and his wife Josephine of Watertown, and Lori Labbe of Thomaston; two sisters, Giselle Marquis and her husband Larry of Henderson, Nev., and Yolande Thibodeau of Van Buren, Maine; 11 grandchildren, Marisa Perrotti and her husband Arshan, Mark, Charles III, and Christine Perrotti, Stephanie and Jason Adamo and his wife Nike, Christopher, Brett, Michael, and Thomas Labbe, and Steven Labbe and his wife Ilmika; and her great granddaughter, Ava Adamo. In addition to her husband of 67 years and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Maurice Charest; her sister, Jackie Sirois; and her son-in-law, Philip Adamo. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning 9:15 a.m. from the Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., to St. John the Evangelist Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Platt Road. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening 5-7 p.m.
