HOLLY SWANN - OBITUARY Swann, Holly Paige November 20, 1972 - February 14, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beautiful soul. Holly Paige Curtis Swann, age 50, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Holly was born in Richmond, Virginia, to Bobby Ray Curtis and Marcia Anne Bryan Curtis on November 20, 1972. She was raised and grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she met the love of her life, Keith Swann. The couple married and had three beautiful children together: Lizzie, Luke, and Ginny. They were the absolute light of her life. In 2008, the family moved to Northumberland County where she started her job as a Registrar for the Guidance Department at Northumberland High School. The students and coworkers that she had a relationship with had a deep love for Mrs. Swann. She had such a kind, loving smile that seemed to never fade. Throughout her life, Holly had a passion for dancing. In 2012, she created and coached the Indian Spirits dance team, a club that she adored. Holly also constructed a yearly dance clinic for ages Kindergarten - High School for young girls who were interested in dancing! It was always a fun-filled day for the dance team and all who attended. In April 2021, Holly and Keith opened a restaurant together in Lottsburg, Virginia that they lovingly called, Cygnets Restaurant, after their children. For those who don't know, cygnet is a term used for a young swan! The building was constructed back in 1921 and was known as the Watkins General Store. Holly and Keith decided to keep the original wood floors and tin ceilings which added so much character to the interior. So many people from all around have enjoyed the delicious food that they serve there. Holly's warm and bright presence will be missed greatly at the restaurant. Holly had an amazing relationship with God and was a dedicated Christian. She followed God undoubtfully, and shared the Word of God with all those around her. There is no doubt that she is dancing with Jesus today. Holly is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Swann; daughters, Lizzie and Ginny Swann; son, Luke Swann; her parents, Bobby and Marcia Curtis; brother, Bryan Curtis; and her sister, Tracey Keaton. Holly was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and friend. She was always sure to show her love to every relationship and person in her life. A celebration of life for Holly will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the Northumberland High School Auditorium. The family has asked for the people attending to wear colorful attire. In lieu of flowers, donations made in honor of Holly will go to The Holly Swann Memorial Scholarship at Northumberland High School for students involved in Culinary or Liberal Arts, P. O. Box 730, Heathsville, VA 22473. Holly will be so deeply missed by her family and the whole community.
