About Hilda Perkuchin
Hilda Phyllis Auten-Borst was conceived by Artie Auten and Viola Borst; aka--Arthur Auten (Memorial# 56097788) and Viola Blanche Borst Smith/Pardee (Memorial# 96310461). Viola was previously married to Edward Smith(22 Oct 1902) and gave birth to six Smith children; Edgar Roger(1903), Cecil James(1904), Leo William(1907), Mary L.(1909), Theodore Patrick(1912), and Nellie Louise(1914). Consequently, Hilda is a half-sister to all of Viola's Smith children. Viola married Daniel Pardee on April 15, 1919. To date, it is unknown whether or not Artie and Viola were married. After Artie was killed in action during WWI on 12 Jun 1918, Hilda was adopted by Grace 'Francisco' Hickey (Memorial# 184900820) and Norman Henry Hickey (Memorial# 184876000) . Hilda never knew who her biological parents were. Hilda's adopted family included an adoptive sister, Alma R 'Hickey' Duncan (Memorial# 152698526). Therefore, Hilda's maiden name has been listed as "Auten-Borst/Hickey." Hilda is a 1st-cousin with all of the offspring of Artie Auten’s four siblings: Bessie Jane(1897-1978); Glen Oscar(1899-1957); Bert Nathan(1905-1966); Elizabeth Isabelle ‘Lizzie’(1910-1934).
