About Hilda Burt Bridges
EUPORA – Hilda Ann Crowell Burt Bridges, 79, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at her home after a long illness. She was a retired school teacher. She taught in Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico and Eupora. She was a member of Walthall Baptist Church. According to her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walthall Baptist Church. Wise Funeral Home in Eupora is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Lori Burt of Starkville; one brother, Robert L. Crowell of Walthall; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Eugene Burt in 1978 and Robert L. Bridges Sr. in 2004; a brother, Purvis Crowell; and her parents, Shed and Birdie Hood Crowell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Walthall Baptist Church.
