Herman Hap Henry Kruse

Henry was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado to parents Ludwig and Anna C. Forath Kruse, Germans from Russia. He was the oldest of four children. Henry worked with his dad in the blacksmith shop for his first job. He then moved on to work at Jaynes and Company for 44 years as a wheel aligner and auto body repairman. He built many parts, farm tools, and trailers from scratch for many people in Fresno. He was one of the five owners of Jaynes and Company for 16 years. Henry married Tracy Ripslager in 1929 and they celebrated 59 years together. Henry was also a vineyard farmer in Kerman for 30 years. He loved riding motorcycles, boating, traveling, hunting and the mountains. Henry influenced many people during his long life. He had been a member of Odd Fellows and Edison Social Club. He lived in Ahwahnee for several years. Madera was his home for the last eight years, farming with his friends, Jim and Marilyn Fries. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Tracy; and his siblings, Peter, Anna McQuire, and Marie Seifert. He is survived by close relatives, Sharon Mecchi and her husband Bunk of Ahwahnee, California; foster son, Phillip Kirkpatrick and his wife Nedra of Kalmath Falls, Oregon; nephew, Michael McGuire and his wife Suzie of Golden, Colorado; and nephew, Frank Dailey and his wife Anna of Hayden, Idaho. A Funeral Service will be held at the Palm Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will be at Oakhill Cemetery, Oakhurst.
