About Herbert Haag
Herbert V. Haag Herbert V. Haag 80, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2004. Herbert was born April 30, 1923 in Indianapolis, to the late John T. and Ethel C. (Wilson) Haag. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Francis T. Haag, and a son, David V. Haag. Herbert married Ida Jennye (Sisson) Haag on September 4, 1954, and she survives. He worked for Ford Motor Company from 1957 to 1981 as a Tool and Cutter Grinder. He also worked as a Rural Mail Carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 27 years, before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the K of C Local #1111 UAW, Riley Wranglers Square Dancers, and the Hancock Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. Survivors include his wife, daughters Kathy Staples of Indianapolis, Lori Haag of New Palestine, Judy Roach of Fishers and Carey Stottlemyer of Anderson; a sister, Delores "Doty" Welling of Greenfield; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 10 in Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home, Greenfield, with Father Severin Messick O.S.B., officiating. Friends of the family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 9 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Memorial Hospital Fund or to the Greenfield Fire Department Donation Fund. [The Indianapolis (Marion County, Indiana) Star, April 8, 2004]
