HELEN JOAN NELSON ANZICK BIRTH 29 Jun 1934 Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado, USA DEATH 17 Jan 2022 (aged 87) Livingston, Park County, Montana, USA Helen Joan Anzick, 87, of Livingston, Mont., passed away peacefully at her home on Jan 17, 2022, surrounded by family. A Catholic celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at St Mary's Catholic Church, Livingston, Mont., with Father Garrett Nelson officiating. A reception will follow the service at St. Mary's Parish with a graveside committal and burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local hospice Frontier Home Health Hospice of Pueblo, Colo. Helen Joan Anzick was born on June 29, 1934, in Pueblo, Colo. She was the daughter of Catherine M. Nelson and Leslie O. Nelson. She received her education in Pueblo and was a graduate of Centennial High School, class of 1951. On Sept. 17, 1955, Helen was united in marriage to Melvyn Louis Anzick at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pueblo, Colo. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Helen resided in Pueblo until 1956, when she joined her husband, Melvyn, in Livingston to raise their five children. Helen and Melvyn shared 66 years of marriage. After moving to Livingston, Helen worked for the local phone company and later supported her husband in his veterinary practice. Helen appreciated crafts of all kinds. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, and traveling. Passionate about the outdoors, she relished every opportunity to explore nature. As an avid runner, biker, hiker, she completed two marathons (one being the Governor's Cup), numerous road races, and a 500-mile bike ride. Her love for the ocean is apparent by the seashells scattered throughout her house. Above all, with her cheerful spirit and loving heart, she cherished spending time with her family. Helen was a loving wife, mother, and loyal friend. Helen is preceded in death by her two brothers, Leslie and Floyd Nelson; a sister Francis; and parents, Leslie and Catherine Nelson.
