About Hattie Cook
Services for Mrs. Milo R. (Hattie) Cook, 77, were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Carey officiating. Burial was in the Groton Union cemetery. Mrs. Cook passed away at her home on Monday, March 16. Pall bearers were Earl Blackman, Leonard Broman Jr., Wilford Dresbach, Clyton Gibbs, Lloyd Schinkel and Robert Wegner. Music was provided by Mrs. Amos Doeringsfeld and Mrs. Robert Carey singing, "What a Friend We Have In Jesus," and "Pass Me Not, Oh Gentle Savior,' accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Alberts, organist. Mrs. Cook was born June 23, 1892, in Ferney and was married at Leola on Sept. 19, 1915. She lived in Groton all her life. Survivors include three sons, B. W. Cook, San Francisco; Robert, LaHabre, Calif; and Donald, Pehokee, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs Robert (Claribel) Olsen, Arlington, Va.; and Mrs. Harold (Lois) Sour, Groton; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ora Rossow, Ferney, and Roy Rossow, Mission, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandchild, three sisters and three brothers.
