Harold Francis Hartley

Mr. Harold Hartley, 67, Jamestown, North Dakota died early Monday morning January 1, 1996 in the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND. Harold Hartley was born July 8, 1928 on the family farm home the son of Robert Hartley and Evelyn (Johnson) Hartley. He received his elementary education in Jud and grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm. He and Liane Elhard were married November 24, 1950 at Jamestown, ND. They farmed for Otellia Wangrud near Jud and in 1952 he took over his parents farm where they farmed until 1979. They then owned and operated the Jud Bar until 1983 when they returned to farming for 3 years and in 1987 they moved into Jamestown where he assisted in driving Bus for Hi Acres Manor Nursing Center. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Jud, Jud Rural Fire Department, Jud Lions, Eagles #2337 in Jamestown. Surviving are his wife, Liane, Jamestown, ND, his children, Dori Nordstom, Hamlake, MN, Dale Hartley, Ossineke, MI, Daniel and Sharon Hartley, West Fargo, ND, Dean and Susan Hartley, St. Paul, MN, Dewey and Vicki Hartley, Farmington, MN, 11 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Carroll Hartley, Jud, ND, Lloyd Hartley and Ralph Hartley, both of Garden City, South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. The funeral Service for Harold Hartley, 1:30 PM Thursday January 4, 1996 at Trinity United Church of Christ, Jud, ND. Rev.
