Haden Eddings

Haden Eddings passed away on October 30, 2020 with his wife of 50 years by his side, he was 73 years of age. Haden was born on March 25, 1947 in Cleveland, TX. His family moved to Houston when he was young and there, he was raised. In 1965 he came to Nacogdoches to attend Stephen F. Austin State University. In 1967, while at SFA, he met the love of his life, Judy Setzer. They married in 1970, settled in Nacogdoches and started their family. Shortly after, Haden opened Haden's Muffler Shop on North St., which he ran independently for 40 years. Around town, he was known as a real car man, but people who knew him best, knew his passion was travel. In his 1948 Chevy Coupe, he shared his love of travel with his family by taking them on adventurous cross-country trips to car shows. He found immense joy in organizing unique travel itineraries for each trip. Thousands of miles were spent with family and good friends while on the road "making memories" as he would say. Moving forward, we know he will be with us as we travel and make memories. He's not gone, he's simply…..  "on the road again". Haden is preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Frances Brock Eddings and brother, Hal Sterling Eddings. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Judy Eddings; children, Shane Eddings and wife, Jessica of Woden and Carrie Eddings and husband, Carlos Guajardo of Keller; grandchildren, Félix and Luna Guajardo; sister-in-law, Becky Bramwell and husband, Joe of Spring, Texas; nephew, Kevin Bramwell and wife, Rachel of Tomball; and great nephew, Ryder Bramwell. Visitation for Haden will be held from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Laird Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at a later date.
