About H. Ailshie
Bucklin,Ks--Ruth Ailshie, 96, died Nov.17,2015 at Smith Center Long Term Care. She was born April 15,1919,northeast of Ford to William H. and Sarah Margaret(Baldridge)Cook. A longtime Bucklin resident, Ruth was a homemaker and a 1937 Ford High School graduate. On June 13,1942, she married Wayne Ailshie at Pratt. She was a member of the Bucklin Presbyterian Church, United Presbyterian Women, Daisy Dell, Farmerettes Club and the Narcissus Chapter of the Eastern Star at Mullinville. She is survived by two daughters, Connie Pruitt of Lawton,Oklahoma and Gayla Flavin(Greg) of Esbon; a sister, Leona Vieux of Jetmore; a sister-in-law, Roberta Cook of Dodge City; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne who died on May 22,1980;brothers, Edward and James and a sister, Virginia Wyatt. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,Nov.21,2015 at the Bucklin Community Church(formerly Bucklin Presbyterian Church) officiated by Scott Tilley. Memorials are suggested to Smith Center Long Term Care Unit in care of Minnis Mortuary, Bucklin,KS. Taken from Hutchinson News-Nov.17,2015
