About Guido Pachelli

Guido C. Pachelli, age 83, passed away at Mt. San Rafael Hospital on November 29, 2009. He was born in Berwind, Colorado*on June 17, 1926 to Lucia and Angelo Pachelli. Guido was raised in Valdez and attended Primero schools. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a coal miner having worked in area mines for 17 years. He then was employed by the BN Railroad as a lineman for 4 years. OnJanuary 25, 1958, Guido was united in marriage to Ann C. Naccarato at Mt. Carmel Church in Trinidad, Colorado. He was self employed for 30 years for the Kirby Company until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching football. Guido was a great cook and together with his wife, Ann, they loved having gatherings for their family and many friends. Preceding him in death are parents, Lucia and Angelo; brothers, Tony, Dominic, Albert and Fred Pachelli; sisters, Phylis DiPaolo, Helen Rennia and Cena Spencer. Survivors are wife, Ann of home address; sons, Guido (Linda) Pachelli, Trinidad; Tony (Shonie) Pachelli, Trinidad; daughter, Deana Dunford, Trinidad; grandchildren, Curtis Dunford, Dylan Dunford, Rylie Ann Pachelli; sister, Elizabeth Stelitano, Trinidad; brother, Richard (Connie) Pachelli, Trinidad; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Pachelli, Trinidad; Janice Naccartto, Mary (Guy) Molinaro, Trinidad; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of many dear friends. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Holy Trinity Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday December 3, 2009 at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery with graveside services conducted by the United States Naval Honor Guard. Family may be contacted at the home address. Information from the Comi Funeral Home. *Once a thriving company coal town, Berwick figured significantly in the 1913-14 Colorado Coalfield War. By 1930 Berwind was well on its way to becoming a ghost town.
