Guadalupe Alcala

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Alcala, a loving, compassionate, empathetic, and thoughtful individual who touched the lives of many. Born on October 2, 1936, in Beeville, Texas, Guadalupe's kindness and generosity knew no bounds. She passed away on June 3, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support for her family and friends. Guadalupe devoted her life to helping others, both in her personal and professional life. As a teacher's assistant, she impacted the lives of countless students with her patience, guidance, and understanding. She was truly a beacon of light, inspiring others with her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the world. Guadalupe's nurturing spirit extended to her family, where she provided love and support to her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Her laughter, gentle spirit, and warm embrace will forever be cherished and remembered. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rudolph Alcala; her parents, Roque Trevino and Aurora Hernandez; and her brother Manuel Zapata and sister-in-law Janice Zapata. Guadalupe is survived by her sisters Mary (David) Rivas, Librada Guevara, Connie (Martin) Martinez, Carmen Hill, and Mary Walker; sister-in-law Judy Long; and her loving brother-in-law David Rivas and Martin Martinez. Guadalupe's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Visitation will take place at Trevino Funeral Home on Friday June 9, 2023,from 5pm - 8pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm by Deacon Santos Jones. Funeral Mass will be at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10am. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
