About Glenn Kirkpatrick
The Rev. Glenn Ural Kirkpatrick, 82, of Baldwin, died Friday, August 17, at the Unted Hospital Center, Clarksburg, following an extended illness. He was born in Gilmer County, a son of the late Blair and Della Ford Kirkpatrick. Twice married, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Oma White Kirkpatrick. His second wife, Geneva Osteen Kirkpatrick, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Glenn Joel of Baldwin, Robert William of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Rebecca B. Oppe of Parkersburg; two brothers, Victor of Glenville, Nobel of Clarksburg; three sisters, Ina Woodford of Glenville, Hazel Kirkpatrick and Garnet Smith, both of New Windsor, Maryland; six grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Hallie Kirkpatrick Hays, one infant brother and sister. Rev. Kirkpatrick served as a missionary of the American Missionary Fellowship in Central West Virginia, establishing churches, Sunday Schools and teaching Vacation Bible School and Bible Camp for over 45 years. He was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church of Baldwin. Services were held Monday, August 20, at Spurgeon-Ellyson Mortuary, with the Rev. Frank A. Miller and the Rev. O.D. Harmon Officiating. Interment was in Meadow Lane Cemetery. (published in the Glenville Democrat).l
