About Gladys Oberbroeckling
Gladys E. Oberbroeckling, 78, of Sumner, died Sunday, Dec. 14, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn. She was born March 17, 1930, in New Vienna, daughter of Leo and Camilla Kluesner Kramer. She married Albert Oberbroeckling on June 27, 1949, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Vienna. He died Aug. 15, 1988. Mrs. Oberbroeckling worked as a clerk for a number years at the Sumner Variety Store. Survived by: three sons, Charles (Susan), Gary and Steven (Lisa), all of Sumner; two daughters, Judy (Mike) Duhrkopf and Karen Smith, both of Sumner; a daughter-in-law, Maureen Oberbroeckling of Sumner; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John (Rosie) Kramer of New Vienna and Robert (Janet) Kramer of East Dubuque, Ill. Preceded in death by: a son, James; and a brother, Gerald Kramer. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, both in Sumner. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Sumner, with a 3:45 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.
