About Giuseppe Iacono
Giuseppe Iacono, age 76, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family Monday, June 5, 2017. Giuseppe came from Ischia, Italy in 1970. He was a Master Carpenter for 60 years and created many beautiful custom furniture pieces. Giuseppe was a gentle man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He cherished his wife and family. Giuseppe loved visiting the ocean, watching soccer (especially the World Cup), listening to opera music, playing the organ and maintaining a garden full of delicious vegetables. Giuseppe is survived by his wife of 41 years, Tina Iacono; daughter, Rosa Lucia Iacono; son, Francesco Iacono; grandchildren, Giuseppe and Charlotte; 6 nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Rosa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Rosa Iacono; and brothers, Crescenzo and Michele Iacono. A visitation will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 from 6-9 PM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N Dupont St, Wilmington, DE 19805. Burial will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804
