Georgia Marie Laures, age 90, of Rochester, died on December 1, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Georgia was born March 17, 1932, in Rochester. Survivors include six sons, John (Becky) of Rochester, Larry (Linda) of Rochester, Bill (Judy) of Chatfield, Scott (Amy) of Mazeppa, Mike (Karen) of Stewartville, and Jeff (Debbie) of Stewartville; son-in-law, Grant Marquardt of Elgin; 23 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Lori of Becker. She is preceded in death by spouse, Ray; son, Bryan; daughter, Diane Marquardt; her parents, Roy and Phyllis Schlief; brother, Roy Schlief; sisters, Joan Hernlem, Karen Smith; one great grandchild; and special friend, Tom Sexton. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Good Shepherd Church in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at Good Shepherd Church on Monday.
