Wade, 70, Cottonwood, Ariz., formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died April 27, 1988, at a Cottonwood hosptial. He was born in Kansas City, Kan., and lived in this area most of his life before he moved to Cottonwoood two weeks ago. He worked for the Kansas City Terminal Railway from 1942 until he retired as a locomotive engineer in 1978. He was a member of Local 1228 of the United Transportation Union. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Ben Hur Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Wade of the home; three sons, George M. Wade II, Cottonwood, David K. Wade, Independence, and Wayne R. Wade, Flemington, Mo.; two daughters, Margaret Brown, Spring Hill in Johnson County, and Diana L. Jones, Flemington; a brother, Everett Wade, Humansville, Mo.; five sisters, Lois Smith and Virginia McBride of Kansas City, Kan., Mary Journey Tonganoxie, Kan., Lola Carriger, Bonner Springs, and Frances Showalter, Drexel, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fulton-Nickel Guardian Chapel; burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
