About Genevieve Aston
Genevieve "Genka" Dudek Aston, 82, of Dupont, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Kingston Rehab and Nursing Center, Kingston. Heaven gained a beautiful angel and lost the most amazing grandmother. She was born and raised in Dupont Jan. 11, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Bisiadecki Dudek. Genevieve was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She was formerly employed by Leslie Fay, she was an extremely hard working woman and always provided well for her two sons. Through many trials and tribulations, her main objective in life was taking good care of the sons; the late John and David Aston. She lived for her sons and her pride and joy, her grandson, Jonathan Aston. In addition to her sons, she is preceded in death by her husband, John William Aston Jr.; brothers; Joseph, Walter, Stanley and Frank; and her sister, Marie Sworen, who died May 26, 2022. Genevieve is survived by her grandson, Jonathan and his companion, Katie Wynn; daughter-in-law, Sandra Aston; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Levi. A blessing service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, with the Rev. Thomas Petro of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, officiating. Arrangements are by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Published by Citizens Voice from Jun. 4 to Jun. 5, 2022.
