6 March 1963: G. Grover Flory, 78, of 107 E. Maple St., Palmyra, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 3 a.m. today at his home. A retired carpenter, Flory, was forced to give up this work 13 years ago because of his heart ailment. Since that time he had repaired tools at his home. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and also served for many years as president of Trinity Men's Bible Class of the church. He was also affiliated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Annville, the Citizens Fire Company, Palmyra, and the Firemen's Relief Association. J, His wife, the former Sadie Burgess, died one year ago. Surviving are one daughter, Emily, wife of Russel E. Hevel, with whom he resided; one granddaughter, Mrs. Paul Wagner; two great- granddaughters; one sister, Mrs. Eliza Snavely, Annville, and two brothers, John L., Lebanon, and Levi, Palmyra. A native of South Londonderry Township, he was a son of the late Levi J. and Sarah Stortz Flory. [Lebanon Daily News]
