Frederick W. Kaatz Marine City - Frederick W. Kaatz, 82, died Saturday, Oct..t 24, 1992. He was born Feb. 1, 1910 in Cottrellville, He married Florence V. Rood Aug. 22, 1959, in Marine City United Methodist Church. Mr. Kaatz was employed as a finish carpenter with Chris Craft Co, for 30 years. He had also sailed the Great Lakes and retired from East China Schools as a custodian,. He was a member and usher of Marine City United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Florence; two brothers, Otto Katz of Fair Haven and August "Junior" Katz of Marine City; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Barthel and a brother, Elmer. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Bower-Rose Funeral Home in Marine City. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth A. Colman, pastor of the Marine City United Methodist church will officiant. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visiting is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Marine City United Methodist Church or to the Cancer Society.
