About Frances Niemitz
Frances A. (Gineo) Niemitz, 73, of Barkhamsted, beloved wife of 54 years to Edward Niemitz, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023. She was born in Messina, Sicily on May 10, 1949, the loving daughter of the late Antonio and Natalie (Auditore) Gineo. Frances had a long career as a legal secretary, all the while raising three daughters. She had a passion for beautifying her surroundings, nurturing lush gardens of flowers and vegetables outdoors and adorning the interior of her home with antiques and cherished heirlooms. She was also a woman of steadfast faith and along with her beloved husband Ed was a member of Connecticut Valley 7th Adventist Church for over 33 years. In addition to her beloved husband Edward, she is survived by her three daughters, Sherri Niemitz of Wethersfield, Debbie Beall and her husband David of Holden, MA, and Michelle Niemitz of Barkhamsted; her grandchildren, Isabella, Cassandra, Eric, and Brendan; her brothers, Matthew Gineo and his wife Kathy of RI, Sal Gineo of Wethersfield, Philip Gineo and his wife Nan of Tolland, and Joseph Gineo of Wethersfield; and her sister, Doreen Machovina and her husband Scott of OH. Calling hours were held at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, Windsor Locks. A funeral service was celebrated at Connecticut Valley 7th Day Adventist Church, South Windsor.
