About Frances Cacace
Spangenberger Cacace, Frances S. Known as Stella formerly of Peekskill, N.Y passed away Tuesday March 5, 2013 at the age of 90 in New Port Richey, FL. Frances was born January 3, 1923 in Peekskill to George and Anna Moraitis. After attending Peekskill Schools, Frances worked during WW II as a riveter for Eastern Aircraft assembling the wing for the Navy torpedo bomber Avenger where she met her husband of 33 yrs Carlo Cacace of Yonkers N.Y. They were married in 1945 and raised 3 children. After the war Frances worked for the old Hat Factory, Peekskill School System and Mars Nursing Home before retiring to Florida in 1983. She loved to play cards, the slot machines and bingo. She was always on the go. Beloved mother and grandmother she is survived by 3 sons Carl, Gary and Gregory Cacace, 6 grandchildren Carl Jr, Michael, Alexis, Bryan, Christopher and Danielle, 11 great grandchildren Michael, Rachel, Marissa, Phillip, Chloe, Luke, Emily, Olivia, Alex, Ella and Dominick and 1 brother Louis Moraitis, plus many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Carlo 1979, second husband Albert Spangenberger 2000 and 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Donations may be made to HPH Hospice Care Center, 6801 Rowan RD.
