About Florence Mason
Florence Y. Mason, 86, of Radcliff, KY, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. She worked civil service as an Army librarian at Fort Knox and in Germany. She was the assistant activities director at North Hardin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and a member of the Radcliff Woman's Club locally and on the state level she was a Past president, also selected Woman of the year in 1991, publicity chairman for many years, on state level was Score card chairman and Community Improvement Project chairman. Past president of the Hardin county Public Library also active with the library board. Volunteered at North Hardin Hope since 1994, and also on the board for 7 years. Received Community Service Award from the Radcliff-Hardin County Chamber in 2002. Belonged to National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Active at St. Christopher Church in following capacities: secretary/treasurer of Ladies Society since 2000; chair of Prayer Connection, head usher, extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Parish Council vice chair, bereavement committee chair. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mason.
