Fernand Labbe

WATERTOWN — Fernand "Dedou" Labbe, 88 of West Road, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Irma (Charest) Labbe. Mr. Labbe was born in Keegan, Maine, June 11, 1927, son of the late Lawrence and Cecile (Voisine) Labbe. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corp. Mr. Labbe was a longtime Watertown resident and retired from Engineered Sintering & Plastics in Watertown. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the American Legion Post 195. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club. He enjoyed playing golf at Crestbrook Park Golf Course. Besides his wife of 67 years, he leaves five children, Carol Perrotti and her husband, Charles, of Hamden, Ronald Labbe and his wife, Joanne, of Oakville, Debra Adamo and her husband, Philip, of Southbury, Keith Labbe and his wife, Josephine, of Watertown, and Lori Labbe of Watertown; a brother, Roland Labbe and his wife, Roseann, of Dunedin, Fla.; two sisters, Norma Cyr and her husband, Raymond, of Hamlin, Maine, and Claudette Cyr and her husband, Adrien, of Van Buren, Maine; and 11 grandchildren, Marisa, Charles III and Mark, and Christina Perrotti, Stephanie and Jason Adams, Christopher, Brett, Michael, Steven and Thomas Labbe. Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, from Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown, to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
