About Evelyn Ferguson
Evelyn Ferguson, 83, of Perkinston, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Hattiesburg. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 12:30 – 1 p.m. at Perkinston Baptist Church with services immediately following at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Perkinston Baptist Church. She was a Medical Transcriptionist at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport before her retirement. She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing and needle work, as well as crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Icie Savell; her husband, Travis Ferguson; her son, Mark Ferguson; one brother, Kenneth Savell; and one sister, Ivon Rhodes. She is survived by her grandson, Duncan Ferguson; her daughter-in-law, Margie Ferguson; one sister, Jo Ann White (Charles); one brother, Jobie Savell (Lucille); and numerous nieces and nephews.
