About Evelyn Arcand
Evelyn P. Arcand age 94 of Loretto, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI. The former Evelyn Dalpiaz was born in Norway, Michigan, on October 28, 1916 the daughter of the late Bert Dalpiaz and Rose (Greenleaf) Dalpiaz. Evelyn married Phillip Arcand on November 16, 1935 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Loretto. He preceded her on April 1, 1972. She was a member of St. Barbara's Church in Vulcan. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was survived by her daughter Marion (William) Opolka of Iron Mountain; Son-in-law Joseph Geldmeyer of Niagara; sister Margaret Moraska of Vulcan; grandchildren Stephen (Sharon) Opolka, Jodi (Paul) Maycunich, Jean (Chris) Hale, and Scott (Carrie) Geldmeyer; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and very special neighbors. Evelyn Arcand was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanne Geldmeyer and sister Marie DesChane.
