She loved hugs and holding hands. She enjoyed coloring with her children and grandchildren. She loved people. She would give her last penny to anyone in need. Esther went with the Lord with her family by her side. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Candida Garcia; her sons, Johnny Quair and Carlos Quair; her daughter, Andrea Esquivel; her brother, Frank; sisters, Pauline and Bessie. Esther is survived by her sister, Neomi Szabo; her children, Joann (Mike) Petris, Mary Vargas, Candy (Walter) McConn, Lupe (Robert) Saltzgaver, Josefina (Harvey) Warren, and John Briseno; 22 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the nurses and care partners at San Joaquin Hospital, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr. Anderson, Dr. Anders, and Hoffmann Hospice for providing comfort and loving care during her long battle with her condition. Viewing will be Thursday, July 22, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., with a Chapel service on Friday, July 23, 10:00 a.m., at Mission Family Mortuary.
