About Elsie Abernathy
Elsie Mae Reams Abernathy, of Irondale, AL passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 after an extended illness. Elsie was born January 6, 1943 in Sylacauga, AL to Bessie Mae Darling Reams (1922-2013) and Benjamin Dewey Reams (1913-1961). She attended Sylacauga High School. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Samuel Abernathy Jr. (1932-2001) and her brother Larry J. Reams. She is survived by her one brother of Dalton, Georgia and her step-sister of Sylacauga, Alabama; several brothers/sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. A graveside for Elsie will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
