Elizabeth A. Kabara

Elizabeth "Betty" Kabara Pulaski - Elizabeth "Betty" Kabara, 91, Pulaski, died peacefully at home February 4, 2021. The daughter of Max and Catherine (Zachwieja) Gwidt was born July 18, 1929, in Pulaski. On November 6, 1948, Betty married Roman Kabara at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. She worked alongside her husband on the farm for over 50 years. Betty was a longtime member of Assumption B.V.M Parish. Betty was always ready, dressed in her apron, to greet any guests. A favorite visiting place for grandchildren and great grandchildren, Betty never let anyone leave hungry. She made chocolate chip cookies every Saturday up to just a few months ago. Survivors include children: Alan (Joyce) Kabara, Pulaski, Ken (Diane) Kabara, Green Bay, Dennis Kabara, Pulaski, James (Brenda) Kabara, Pulaski, Elaine (Howie) Thiem, Oneida, and Colleen (Roger) Kennin, Howard; 32 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; siblings: Regina Maroszek, Janet Lasecki, Pat (Gloria) Gwidt, Marilyn (Leo) Skaletski, Dick (Debbie) Gwidt, and Bob Gwidt; sister-in-law, Margaret Gwidt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roman Kabara; daughter-in-law, Deb Kabara; siblings: Ray Gwidt, Florence Gwidt, Gertie (Edward) Kabara, Martha (Norbert) Wanek, William Gwidt, and John Gwidt; brothers-in-law: Sylvester Maroszek and Vernon Lasecki; sister-in-law, Melanie Gwidt; Roman's family: John (Mary) Kabara, Tony (Margaret) Kabara, Andrew (Hattie) Kabara, Sister Alexianna Kabara, Mary (Walter) Pasowicz, and Anna (Joe) Wisnieski. Guests will be required to properly wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines. Masks will be available for anyone who does not have one. Friends are invited to gather with the family from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski, St., Pulaski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the church, Fr. James Gannon, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
