About Elizabeth Aborn
Elizabeth C. (MacGillivray) Aborn of Duxbury, a retired nurses aide, died Thursday at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth after an illness. She was 80. Mrs. Aborn was born and raised in Glasgow,* Nova Scotia. She came to the United States in 1936. She was a North Quincy resident for 30 years before moving to Duxbury three years ago. She worked as a nurses aide at Long Island Hospital in Boston and Ocean Manor Nursing Home in Quincy for 15 years before her retirement in 1982. Mrs. Aborn was the wife of the late Russell C. Aborn. She is survived by a daughter, Rosalind P. Rafferty of California; two sons; and a sister, Mary Skinner of Quincy. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Arrangements are by Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
