Elaine Ann Caldwell

Elaine Ann (Scheller) Caldwell age 89 of Loudon passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to Arthur and Hazle Scheller in Van Dyne, Wisconsin. She was raised in the middle of the great depression as the youngest daughter of the six children in the family and spent most of her youth helping on the farm to put food on the table. She enjoyed sewing, flowers and gardening. In 1954 she married Robert "Bob" Caldwell in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and they raised three children (Robin, Wendy and Shawn). She moved 31 times during Bob's tours with the US Army, spending time at seven different military installations in the USA and overseas in England and Taiwan. After the service (1976) they moved to east Tennessee. And, as she stated, "they put down roots" at a Loudon County address for the rest of their lives. Elaine became a longtime resident of Lenoir City, TN. She will be remembered for her good heart and love of family. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her siblings, Arthur Scheller, Nelda Knapwurst, Lucille Newell, Delores Brooks and Orin Scheller. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert J. Caldwell; children and spouses, Robin Caldwell and Karen Parrott, Wendy Caldwell, Shawn Caldwell and Cindy Tibbetts. Shawn and Cindy presented her with grandchildren, Devan, Collin and wife, Savannah and great-grandchildren, Fenric, Kayla, Megan and Alexis. Elaine wished to be cremated and no ceremonies held. Her final resting place will be the Oaklawn Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In her memory, do a loving act of kindness, make someone laugh; send a card to your special loved one(s).
