Eileen Marie Chase

Eileen M. Chase, 92 of Dennis passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023, it was Leo's birthday!! Eileen grew up in Newton, MA. She was the daughter of John J. and Catherine V. Gwynn. She attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy and went on to work at Columbia Pictures where she met the love of her life Leo. They were married 64 years. They raised their 6 children in Connecticut, Ohio and Sudbury MA. After Sudbury Leo and Eileen lived in downtown Boston for 10 years before they settled in Dennis, MA. Each winter they would pack up for Pelican Bay in Naples, FL. They had many great times and made lots of new friends. Eileen loved antiques and became a dealer in the late 1970's. She also opened a dress shop in Sudbury. In the early 1980's she got her real estate license and started working with N.B. Taylor Associates. She went on to be a top broker in the metro west area, garnering many awards. Eileen was an amazing cook who hosted every holiday and threw many parties for her family and friends. She loved her family and grandkids dearly. After moving to the Cape she took up golf and they joined the Ridge Club where they met a whole new group of friends. Her favorite destination was Nantucket. She loved spending time there tracking down her family heritage who had immigrated there from Ireland. Eileen is predeceased by her husband Leo. She was also predeceased by her son, Doug Chase. She is survived by her children Ted (Trese), Tim, John, Paula (Chuck), Drew (Cheryl) and her grandchildren Drake, Chase, Kaylee (Paul), Sydney, Julia, Morgan, Drew and Chase, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother John Gwynn who she referred to as her rock and his wife Sarah. She will hold forever in her heart the 78 year friendship she had with her childhood friend, Paula McCoy. Please remember Leeny for her wonderful laugh and beautiful soul. Services will be private.
