About E. Kurz
BYRON — Louise Kurz, 96, passed away Monday, July 11 at Generations at Neighbors in Byron. Louise was born on Oct. 2, 1925, the daughter of Archie and Ethel (Jacox) Balch in Friend, Nebraska. On May 7, 1949, she married Harold W. Kurz in Rochelle. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2002. She was one of the first female tellers at the First National Bank in Rochelle. Louise was a member of the Lindenwood Union Church where she served on the board for several years. She was also a member and officer of the Christian Women's Club. Louise enjoyed gardening and stayed busy raising three children on the farm.
