About Dorothy Allen
Dorothy A. Allen, 90, of Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra, died of natural causes Thursday, March 21, 2002, in the home. She was the wife of the late Clarence N. Allen, to whom she was married 49 years. Born April 26, 1911, in Kinzers, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lydia Kurtz Hoover. She retired from Bel Mills, Palmyra, and was a member of Mt. Calvary Church, Elizabethtown. Surviving are a brother, Norman K. Hoover of State College; and two sisters, Esther Taylor of Langhorne and Arlene Heffley, wife of Nathan of Sparta, N.C. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice and Robert Hoover; and two sisters, Elizabeth Smith and Jane Alexander. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
