About Dorothea Wade
Dorthea, called "Mommo" by her grandchildren, was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. A widow, she moved to Howe, Indiana from Wellington, Kansas in the early 1940's with her three young daughters. It was there that she met a handsome doctor, a widower himself, and remarried. Being a strong minded woman of French decent, she was never afraid to speak her peace relative to family matters. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Earnest Merrifield, her second husband Dr. Alfred A. Wade, and her beautiful and youngest daughter Jane Merrifield Sherwood. She is survived by her daughters Joyce, Judith, and many grandchildren.
