About Doris Schaaf
Doris M. Schaaf (Caygill) went to be in the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the age of 97. Doris passed peacefully surrounded by family at home. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 8, 1926. Moved to Linden, Wisconsin as a young girl. Married Paul D. Schaaf in 1951 and relocated to the Milwaukee area. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Schaaf, son-in-law David Ruehmer and grandson Nathaniel Piotrowski. Doris is survived by her loving children Sandy (Dennis) LaFratta, Cathy Ruehmer, Bonnie (Rick) Kasper, Marcia (Karl) Strommen, Craig Schaaf, and Mary (Bill) Piotrowski, 11 grandchildren, Robin ( Ryan) Sliga; Amy LaFratta; Angelo (Trisha) LaFratta; Nicholas Ruehmer; Paul Kasper (Nichole Furno); Zachary (Echo) Kasper; Jeremy (Jazmin) Strommen; Maria Strommen; Jennifer (Eddie) Wiese; Amanda Piotrowski; and Gabriel Piotrowski and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law Charlotte Douglas, and many nieces and nephews. Her favorite things in life was sharing time with her family, her Church family and spending time reading the Lord's Word. Doris was a proud employee at General Electric Medical Systems for 20+ years (New Berlin branch) upon her retirement. Doris was a devoted volunteer with ECFA and Elm Brook Church in many areas of service after retiring from GE. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd., Waukesha, WI 53188, from 10:30 AM until time of Service at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Waukesha, WI. Church & Chapel Funeral Service Serving the Family
