About Doreen Quaglia
Doreen A. Quaglia Doreen A. Quaglia BROCKTON Doreen A. (Augelli) Quaglia, 51, of Brockton, died Dec. 29, 2009. A native of Roslindale and Hyde Park, she resided in Brockton for the past 20 years. She graduated from Quincy College, Phi Beta Theta with honors, with an A.B. in paralegal studies, in 1988. Doreen was employed as a health inspector for 15 years for the Brockton Board of Health and was named Brocktons Woman of The Year in 2001. An advocate for autistic children, she was also engaged in charitable activities such as Secret Santa. Doreen was adaughter of Marilyn Augelli of Hyde Park and the late Douglas Augelli; beloved wife of Atty. William Quaglia; loving mother of Lauren Lyons (and James) of Brockton and Brian Doyle of Brockton; devoted grandmother of Korey, Damiean and Maynard Lyons; sister of Glenn Augelli of Saugus, Lisa Jarjoura (and Stephen) of Hyde Park, Douglas Augelli of New Portland, Maine, Cheryl Dern of California and the late Mark Taylor; and a great friend to many, including Mary Jane Butler. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday 2-6 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, followed by a 6 p.m. prayer service in Belcher Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home. Private cremation. Memorial service Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. in Christ Congregational Church, U.C.C., 1350 Pleasant St., Brockton, and private spring burial.
