About Donna Buchanan
Donna J. Buchanan, 85, of East Peoria, passed away at home on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born in Peoria on April 25, 1937, to Frederick and Beulah (Baker) Wageman. She married her husband of 50 years, Larry "Buck" Buchanan in Pekin on July 7, 1969; he preceded her in death on September 3, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kevin Carter; stepson, Jeff Buchanan; sister, Marilyn; stepdaughter-in-law, Tina Buchanan; granddaughter, Brooke Pumphrey; and great-grandson, Hunter Staples. She will be remembered by her daughter, Debra Pumphrey of East Peoria; stepdaughter, Cathy (Nick) Kutzko of Calumet City. Donna worked in bottling at Hiram Walker for 17 years before they relocated. She loved making birthday cakes for all her grandkids, crocheting afgans and listening to Alan Jackson. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria.
