About Donald Wachlin
Don, the son of Donald Frank Wachlin and Anita Viola Schlichting Wachlin, was born and died in Newberg, Oregon, where his family has deep roots. Don was the fourth generation to work the land of the Schlichting farm. Don met Margaret Palm at George Fox College in Newberg, Oregon and they married in 1969 and welcomed a daughter, Mary, into their lives in 1979. He was very active in Newberg, holding several positions at his community church, St. Paul Lutheran.
