About Dewey Dagley
Dewey "D.L." Dagley, age 83, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at his residence after a short illness from lung cancer. He was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp who served in World War II. He retired as a process operator with Martin Marietta after 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents, Everette and Pearl Dagley; brothers, Elmer and Carvel Dagley. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret "Louise" Dagley of Clinton; sons, James and wife Treva Dagley of Clinton, and Earl and wife Elaine Dagley of Clinton; grandchildren, Nicole Dagley and fianc Randy Fowler, Michael Dagley, Elizabeth and husband Eric Wright, Trina and husband Travis Cheeser, and Trevor Sands; great-grand children, Jeremiah Dagley, Brittany Dagley, Austin Sands, Jacob Monhollen, and Olivia Sands; brother, Tom Dagley of Clinton; sister, Mary "Patsy" Wilson of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, with funeral services following in the chapel with the Rev. Joe Brides officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Memorial Garden with full military honors at graveside. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
