David A. Cade

CHESTERFIELD — David A. Cade, 76, of Chesterfield, died Jan. 14, 2015, at his residence after a three-year illness. He was born Dec. 27, 1938, in Anderson, to Alfred and Marie (Neeley) Cade. He served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1956 to May of 1964 serving one year tour of duty at the Ben Grier Air Force Base in French Morocco. He retired in 2001 from 30 years in the trucking industry. He enjoyed Colts, NASCAR and playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Carol K. (French) Cade of Chesterfield, whom he married Oct. 20, 1956, in Anderson; three daughters, Robin (Larry) Hamilton of Goshen, Cindy (DeWayne) Jefferson of Daleville, and Shari (Danny) Dicken of Yorktown; six siblings, Elsie Carter of Avon, Bob (Donna) Cade of Laurel, Jim (Faye) Cade of Middletown, Jane Freeman (Dick Williams), Dorothy Watson and Barbara Ashley, all of Anderson; five grandchildren, Emily (Nick) Fitt of Goshen, Rachel (Jayd) Richard of New Paris, Ind., Lucus (Amber) Jefferson of Anderson, Lacy Dicken of Yorktown, and Kayla Dicken of Yorktown; five greatg randchildren, Tyler Jarausch, Caden Jarausch, Baylie Richard, Gage Jefferson and Addison Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings, Jack Cade, Bernice Whitlow, Harold Bramblet, Kenneth Cade, Byron Cade and Meredith Cade. A special thanks to Season’s Hospice. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ted Harris of Muncie Alliance officiating. Burial will be in Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield where military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 honor guard. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday before the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice
